On the subject of plasma displays and response times, here is a link to a new technology that will simultaneously refresh all the columns and rows in any matrix-addressed display, which increases the refresh for a display of any resolution:

As an example, a 1920 x 1080 (HDTV resolution) display can be refreshed at 60 frames/sec with a processor that runs under 5 MHz in speed. This technology is somewhat similiar to active addressing but where active addressing only works for passive LCDs, this technology will work with AMLCDs and plasma. It may also have improved contrast ratio due to the separation of the control signals.
