I am an equestrian enthusiast and own an all aluminum horse trailer. I frequently take long trips and occasionally the horses will urinate on the floor of the trailer. I have been told that the urine (or the ammonia in the urine) reacts with the aluminum and accelerates the corrosion process. Can someone offer additional information? Are there any economical coatings that can be applied to prevent corrosion?
