The paint that I would recommend would be a product called Sikkens/Akzo. You should remove all of the old paint.they can advise you regarding surface preparation. They will suggest an acid etch primer and a urathane top coat. You can look for a retail store on the web or find a local supplier that services body shops to sell the product to you. Regards. Rich

PS You mentioned "cheap", they aren't cheap but you don't want to go cheap or you will be doing this again in about two years.
