Subject: Tooling corrosion

The upper tooling held in place by a slide fit thru' a matrix plate is often corroded after use.
the enviroment is oil rich and dry, I suspect this corrosion is caused by material electrical property changes caused by the pressing force.
Can anybody confirm this or suggest ways of eliminating this problem.
