Dear All,

we most use zinc for aluminium protection in salt water. Recently, I got somebody stating that for aluminum protection in fresh water is better magnesium. Is that really true? Sound a bit strange to me. As far as I know, Al get protected by pasivation, that drop once a lower potential metal (i.e. Mg) is electrically connected. Please, give your opinion.
