Special electro-magnetic effect of corrosion speed decreasing for carbon steel was found under carrying out scientific-research work.

The experiments were conducted in accordance with the following scheme. The samples were submerged into electrolyte solution and irradiated by powerful electro-magnetic impulses (1 Mvt having duration - fractions of nanoceconds).

The generator producing impulses has small overall dimensions (250x100x50 mm), less than 1 kg weight, high efficiency, requiring less than 10 V power.
