Dear Mr. Mike,Thanks for your reply. I have a query regarding point no.3 in your reply. The spectrum of the radiation emitted by the target material, usually, is given as counts Vs Energy and it shows Max. Counts( Peak) at a unique energy level which is a characteristic of the Target(correct?). I understand from this that the majority of the photons are having the energy as the characteristic energy, while some percentage possess lower and higher Energies. If this is correct than does it follow that increasing the Kilovoltage, increases the percentage of photons having higher energy than the characteristic energy, and vice versa??What do you mean by "affect one or more peaks of the characteristic lines, especially at higher energy end?"I wait for your reply,Thanks
