I have a old general electric D-4 working x-ray machine. Just wondering if there are collectors of this equipment out there that could tell me more about it. I believe it is from the mid 30's (the previous owner said 1934). I really like the looks of it and might just display it here at the house. It is safe as long as I don't turn it on, correct?

My roomate's into photography and is curious to find safe ways of try'n it out. I hid the power cord just incase.... Anyone have any experiance with x-raying inatimate objects?

Thanks in advance,
