Maybe off-topic:
I did implement PI Data Archive and an adquisition node using ABB OPC Server for AF100. It was straight forward and it took less than 3 hours to install and make it run. PI qorked fine. Definetly the work was to make the AF100 OPC server run properly but we did this before and It took something like 4 - 6 hrs for a total of 13 AC110 PLCs. During the purchasing phase I studied the IMS - PI solution and it did not look complicated but as I said I think the "hardcore" issue is to make the data acquisition component (IMS or OPC) wor properly the rest is somehow easier.
