Hi there,

we are having massive trouble in a brand new AF100 installation. We are using AC110 with CI627 redundant twisted pair communication boards. Also a Advasoft Server with a CI527 AF100 PCI board. The AC110 ROM version is 2.3
with options 1,2,3,4.

All trunk cabling is IBM Typ 1 whilst drop cabling uses TC505 connectors with confectioned cabling from ABB. The trunk cable is terminated on both ends of the trunk cable (outer most TC505 conectors) using 150 Ohm resistors whilst only one of the resistors is grounded together with the cable shield to a dedicated earth line.

The AC110 subrack is also grounded to the same earthline as the Cabling Shield/Resistor whilst the power supply for the AC110 is grounded to a separate protective ground in the building (used for other equiment protective grounding as well).

The installation will b commissioned with redundant cabling but we are testing now only single cabled and have changed the parameters in the respective DB elements accordingly.

All AC110 are configured as BusMasters and for exception of one that is TimeSync Master the rest is TimeSynch slaves.

from time to time it happens that we recive the messages

1) from CI627V00RD (CI Interface)

detected simultaneous bus masters
detected simultaneous time masters

2) and from DI651V00RD (DI board)

detected time synchronization jitter
detected master synchronizationfiled

and stations start to disappear from the
diagnostics window in the server.

My question is : Does somebody has experience
with this fenomenon. Does smebody have a good troubleshooting guide for the AF 100 ?
