Our small hi-tech company specializes in precision high speed electroplating for microelectronic applications. The system for generating current pulses for electroplating we have developed is capable of producing current pulses of any desired duration, frequency, polarity, and amplitude. Automatic switching of regimes of operation (more than 24 different regimes) makes it possible to produce fine-grain precision plating at rates (for copper) of more than 6 micron per minute.
We have the following questions:
1. What kinds of coating require high power pulse current with triangular, saw-tooth, or sinusoidal shape pulses?
2. We have developed a patentable technology of producing high power pulse current generators capable of forming any desirable pulse shapes. What are the chances of this equipment making it in electroplating equipment market? Are there manufacturers producing comparable equipment?
