I have made a fiberglass, inverted "cone" form, six feet tall ( 2" diameter at floor increasing to 16" diameter at top). I want a surface inside and particularly outside that is "believable " lead. I understand that lead is non-conductive. Would it make sense to "plate?" nickel or tin and patina them to "be" tarnished lead? It is absolutely impossible to convince the eye and the sensibility that any paint is metal. What would be the easiest, and more importantly, the cheapest way to achieve this surface? It must be real metal and it must convey the surface, the feeling. of lead, but it does not need to fool the viewer specifically that it is lead. Thanks
