Brett: I'll have to admit that after thinking about your explanation as to the cause of the problem, I find it extremely hard to believe. As I understand it, the Mobil-1 was drained from the crankcase and the crankcase was refilled using a petroleum based synthetic oil and then after only 10 miles of driving, the engine was gummed up because of the different chemistries involved. If I ran that by a chemist or a lubrication engineer, I think he or she would agree with me that that is not a plausible explanation for the cause of the problem.
