OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer.
Normally when selecting a lubricant, it is wise to take into consideration the opinion of the OEM. Thsi applies to plants, big rigs, heavy equipment and autos.

I try to keep up on the lube recommendations of manufacturers. When in doubt, I call them.
