hello i was trying to establish PC to Pc communication using RS232 9 pin connector. the connection is as follows.pin 2 (txd) is connected to pin 3(rxd) and pin 5(gnd) of both the connectors connected together.the problem is that i am not able to transmit data to the other machine i.e., i am not receiving any thing on the other side. i am using outport and inport functions and port 0x3f8 on both sides. i tried various possibilities but could not debug the problem. i was doing this just for experimentation hence i have not used any other pins. my aim is just transmit from one end and receive on the other.hope you will respond at the earliest posible.thank you.
