Mr. Bevis,

I have just returned from a CC project in Philippines. I was in charge of the hardware installation of a large Bailey Symphony DCS system. There are 23 cabinets, with Remote Fibre connected Block I/O modules, as well as HMI using Conductor NT 4.0.

This was a Raytheon project with KEPCO. I maintained and installed DCS hardware, FDI communications to MHI, EWS (Wintools). Additionally I maintained and upgraded all Conductor NT consoles and CLients. I also maintained the Satelite interface to SOE hardware.

Software engineering included modification of control, graphics, Logs and Performance monitoring.

Other work included DCS and UPS grounding survey and modifications. I am a specialist with my present company in this area. I have serviced many customers in Asia, in different industries, throughout Asia.

The site is a 1200MW CC comprised of 2 blocks. Each block contained 2 units of MHI GT and 1 Hitachi Steam turbine. Also 2 HRSG's.

A. What I am looking for is to continue to use my experiences as mentioned above, but to also move into either GT or plant control software and operation. I understand the basic fundamentals, but not the details of control. As such, I am very interested in learning additional career information on Power Plant control and operation.

B. I worked for Westinghouse Singapore for 3 years. I was a field service engineer and project manager, using the WDPF II system.

My initial training was in Pittsburgh, but was extended for a total of 10 months at PCD. After my DCS training, I was placed in charge of the instrumentation ordering, verification and FAT assistance on the WDPF II. I was placed in a liaison position with the PRC customer, who sent 30 persons for school and OJT. After the 10 months, I was sent to Baoshan, China to install the WDPF II. Most of my WDPF work was in PRC, also as project manager for various PCD and Japanese projects.

B. I am presently living in Singapore with my family. I am an American citizen.

My resume will detail more information about my other responsibilites, which also includes Technical training.

I will be sending my resume to your email mail address. Please review, and I would like to understand more about this opportunity.

Thank you,

Ken Hanks
