Can some one explain, or direct me to an explaination of, IEC voltage ratings for cables? In particular, how do they compare to North American ratings. For instance, a cable may be specified as 6/10(12) kV in IEC terms. What is the significance of these numbers? Do IEC ratings relate to the NA specification of 100% and 133% insulation?
